Purple Annodized ShimAMD purple annodized shims go through 4 manufacturing processes before they are complete and are annodized, so they don't conduct electricity. OEM in the plastic bag.They fit ALL AMD Socket A based processor cores, including Athlon, Duron, Palomino, Morgan, and Spitfire. CPU spacers prevent cracking of CPU cores while installing the heatsink, and help distribute weight evenly over the core surface. Think of them as cheap insurance for the overclocker who changes cooling solutions frequently. These spacers are even thickness and precision manufactured to fit perfectly while also allowing the factory 'pads' on AMD Athlon/Duron/Palomino CPU's to remain intact.
